SACRAS
The dictionary of the RAE defines sacred «Each one of the three sheets, printed or handwritten, that in their corresponding tables, pictures or frames with crystals, used to be placed on the altar so that the priest could comfortably read some prayers and other parts of Mass without recourse to the missal. »
These Sacras from the 16th century, belonged to Cardinal Rodrigo de Castro. Closed they show the apostles Peter and Paul, open, under a painting of the Last Supper, are written the main texts from which the priests helped each other to officiate the Eucharist.
